Through the abroad technical inspection, investigating the solar energy research and
application in African countries; according to local conditions and needs, carrying out the
preparatory work in promoting the solar energy application technology, products and
the establishment of demonstration projects to play an important role in promoting solar
energy research and utilization of solar energy, ecological protection and sustainable
development as well as South-South cooperation in developing countries particularly African
countries; the international seminar on solar energy technology is due to be conducted in
China, and technicians and officials from African countries are to be invited to attend the
