On 16 July 2010, 2010 Hohhot Investment and Trade Fair & the Second China (Hohhot) PV Power Seminar launched in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia, jointly organized by Hohhot Municipal People''s Government, UNIDO International Solar Energy Center for Technology Promotion and Transfer and China Renewable Energy Society. With the theme of Technology Innovation and development of PV industry, promoting the implementation of low-carbon economy, the contents about low-carbon economy and new energy industries and the development trend of photovoltaic applications are involved. More than 400 representatives from international and domestic well-known enterprises as Canadian Solar, LDK, Lin Yang, First Solar, Baoding Tianwei, etc., and government agencies, research institutes attend the meeting. Prof. Xi Wenhua described the current status and trends of the solar PV in the world and analyzes problems in current solar PV in China and put forward the solution, countermeasures and proposal. After the report, Professor Xi Wenhua and other participating experts, entrepreneurs and government officials holds in-depth exchanges and dialogue. During the seminar, Prof. Xi Wenhua also visits the new energy industry exhibition related to wind energy, photovoltaic power, biomass, geothermal energy, with the theme of "low-carbon, environmental protection, energy saving".
